Why we started
this thing.
We are all craving more time together. Life gets busy. Friendships get harder to keep up. And most nights out end up being the same dinner or the same drinks.
The Botanical Social started because we wanted something different: a way to spend time with our people doing something fun and engaging, making new friends, and providing a little something to take home. We love plants, books, cozy vibes, and hanging with friends, so we are centering our gatherings around things we enjoy and hope you'll enjoy too.
Sometimes that's Plant Bingo. Sometimes it's a workshop or a seasonal swapping party. The activity is just the excuse. The real point is spending meaningful time with people you enjoy and maybe meeting a few new ones along the way — all right here in the Oklahoma City area.

Absolutely — and honestly, a lot of people do. We host every gathering with soloists in mind. You'll be greeted at the door, seated with folks who are easy to talk to, and folded gently into the fun. Most first-timers leave with a few new numbers in their phone.
Not even a little. Our workshops are built for total beginners. If you've ever accidentally killed a pothos, you're our people. We'll walk you through everything, step by step.
Just yourself. Everything you need for the activity is included in your ticket. Come as you are; jeans and a smile is the unofficial uniform.
In friendly local spots around town — breweries, coffee shops, community centers, garden centers, and the occasional outdoor patio. The vibe is always relaxed, never formal. Each event listing has the exact address and parking info.
Please do — this is way more fun with a friend (or three). Just grab a ticket for each person so we can plan seats and supplies. Groups of coworkers, book clubs, sisters, and moms with grown daughters are some of our favorites.
Tickets go up on Eventbrite and often sell out. Joining our email list is the best way to hear first — community members always get early access before we open things up publicly.
